From
the diary of Addie Schoonover Baumgartner...
"I don't remember Mother
fishing at Baby Wagon - she was busy cooking - doing laundry and just
relaxing. I remember we always went to Meadowlark lake one day so my dad
could fish there. We took a picnic lunch. When the day came to come back
to the ranch we would have a wash tub of fish to take home. We would
stop at Powder River Pass - there was always a snow drift there. We
would pack the fish in snow for the trip. When we got home my dad made
the rounds of the neighbors and gave them all fish. Before the trip to
baby Wagon Ray and I dug lots of worms and caught lots of grasshoppers
to use for bait. There are so many memories of Baby Wagon all through my
life."
