Charles
Diers

Diers Garage was built in 1917 and was operated by Charles Diers. It was later sold and operated as a filling station and repair shop. It eventually became part of a restaurant, named after an old-time Kaycee café no longer in existence. It was called the Feedrack Café and was lost in the flood of 2002. Hawk Creek Taxidermy is located at this site today. Around 1950 the last switchboard telephone office was located there. Minnie Diers was the main operator. It was also a filling (gas) station. Chet and Marge Hall and 2 daughters lived in the back. Chet also took care of and operated 2 diesel light plants to supply electricity to town before REA came. These were located behind this building.
