What's New?

For genealogists we have some very exciting developments in data sharing from the Wyoming State Archives and city of Cheyenne.

Not a new website--but worth knowing about. Laramie County Clerk's Office has put the entire Marriage Index for the county on line in a very readable format. Click here for access.

Spanish American War: Roster of Troop "F", 2nd U.S. Volunteer Calvary

Spanish American War: Roster of the Light Battery, Cheyenne

World War II Casualities for U.S. Army, Laramie County

World War II Casualties for Navy, Marines & Coast Guard, Laramie County

Vietnam War Casualites (all branches)

Cheyenne has the official burial listing for: Lakeview Cemetery, Beth El Cemetery, I.O.O.F., Serenity Gardens (Columbarium), Mount Olivet, and Mount Sinai ON THE INTERNET for viewing. Go to the index at:
http://www.cheyennecity.org/index.asp?NID=82

While the Archives has more info than I can list here for research, their newest tool is the Old Newspapers Collection. They have taken many Wyoming newspapers from the very beginning to 1922 and put them ON THE INTERNET for researching.

Instructions: http://wyoarchives.state.wy.us/ find the left navigation bar, look for Online Newspaper Collection and click it. There is a list of newspapers and dates on the website.

While there are several links on the Data page that lead to good information about Laramie County and Cheyenne, I continue to search for other data to add to the webpage. If you have lists or other forms of data that you think would make a good contribution, just let me know. You will retain rights to the data and get your name published as the contributor. dblair00@msn.com
