Cleo V. Stewart, 78, of Moorcroft, a former Sheridan resident, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, in Hulett. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church with Rick Beld officiating. Interment is in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are with Ferries Funeral Home. Mrs. Stewart grew up and attended schools in Hulett. She married Ralph Stewart Oct. 7, 1939, in Sundance. They lived in Chamberlain, S.D., until they came to Sheridan in 1975. Mr. Stewart died in 1991. She spent the last five years near family in Moorcroft. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and handiwork. She loved serving the Christians and being with her family, especially the grandchildren. She was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters and one son, Roe M. Stewart. Survivors include six sons, Ralph of Lehigh Acres, Fla., Gen of Battle Ground, Wash., Fred of Sundance, and Chap, Gale and Mathew, all of Moorcroft; seven daughters, Fawn Swaney, Ian Laumbach and Mona Schoenfelder, all of Sheridan, Fonda Wendling, Robin Lindberg and Rosie Waliezer, all of Moorcroft, and Helen Massie of Roset; two brothers, David Roberts of Carlisle, and James Roberts of Chamberlain, S.D.; a sister, Sally Daniels, Spearfish, S.D.; numerous great- and great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
