Sheridan County ObituariesGreen, Betty Gay NeelSheridan Press, December 21, 2000 LARAMIE — Betty Gay Green, 56, died Nov. 22, 2000, at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo., from complications from a heart attack. Memorial services were Nov. 29 in Laramie. Interment was at Green Hill Cemetery. She was born to Sgt. William Ralph and Birdie Elizabeth (Whitfield) Neel Dec. 4, 1943, at Norfolk, Ark. She moved with her family to Laramie, where she lived most of her life. She was employed as the area supervisor in the printing and graphics department on the University of Wyoming campus. Survivors include her father and stepmother, Patricia Neel, of Sheridan; a sister, Clara Smith of Sheridan; an adopted sister, Redina Focht of Sheridan; an adopted brother, Harold “Pete” Neel of San Antonio, Texas; two stepsisters, Penny Terry of Sheridan, and Martha Dolinar, Parker, Colo.; a grandmother, Hattie Whitfield, Norfolk; three sons, Charles Green of Gillette, Allen Green of Fresno, Calif., and John Green of Laramie; one daughter, Cynthia Horton of Tacoma, Wash; 14 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
