Sheridan County ObituariesGilday, JamesSheridan Post, Saturday, January 16, 1904 Gilday Funeral The deceased was a middle aged man and a member of Dietz union number 2312 UMWA. The funeral services were held from the Catholic church at Dietz yesterday at 9:00 a.m., and interment was at Mount Hope cemetery, Sheridan, at noon, the ritualistic ceremonies of the labor union being used at the grave. A special train of five cars brought the mourners to Sheridan. Nearly the entire membership of the Miner's union turned out to the funeral of their unfortunate brother, the mines being closed down for the day. Director Geo. Levi Smith was in charge of the funeral. The Dietz band was in attendance. |
