Archie S. Eggart Dies at Hospital
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock from Champion's drawing room for Archie S. Eggart, 64, of 731 Sumner street who died Saturday evening at Sheridan County Memorial hospital after an illness of three weeks.

The Rev. Harry Chapin, past of the First Christian church, will officiate and burial will be in the Sheridan municipal cemetery.

Mr. Eggart, a resident of the area since 1918, was born Feb 24, 1890, in Greenfield, Ia. He was married on March 3, 1915 to his wife, Carrie B. Eggart of Sheridan. For 28 years he was a salesman for the Nash Finch wholesale company and for the past six years, had been employed at Boyd's Super Market.

Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jean Carmen Waugh, of San Antonio, Tex.; two brothers, Virgil Eggart of Long Beach, Calif. and Berl Eggart of Denver. There are also several nieces and nephews surviving.

Carrie B. Eggart, 90, former resident of Sheridan, died Nov. 30, 1987 in Austin, Tex., and she was cremated and graveside services are here Monday, June 20, at 2 p.m. next to her husband Archie Eggart.

Services are at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, with Pastor Kent Waugh officiating. Champion Funeral Home is charge of arrangements. Friends may contribute to the charity of their choice.

Eggart was born Jan 8, 1897 in deadwood, S.D. She was preceded in death by her husband. Eggart made her home near her only daughter and son-in-law for several years. Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne E. and Samuel Waugh of Austin, one sister, Ada Hillenbrand of California, and several nieces and nephews.

Dan Eggart, 65, Widely Know in Region, Dies Here Saturday

Resident of Region For Nearly 40 years Succumbs to Paralytic

Dan Eggart, a resident of Sheridan for nearly 40 years died Saturday night at his home, 40 Bellevue avenue. He was 65 years old.

Although a rancher in the Wyola district during many years during his long residence here. Mr. Eggart was at one time engaged in the grocery business in Sheridan. He suffered a paralytic stroke several days ago, which resulted in his death.

He was born in Jasper county, Iowa, on January 31, 1868, and moved to Parkman, Wyo., in 1924. Six years later he moved to Sheridan. He was the eldest child in a family of nine boys and one girl-and all of his brothers and sisters are living at the present time. They are J. E. Eggart of Lodge Grass, Carrie Bonham of 59 west Fifth Street, Sheridan; R. L. Eggart of Lodge Grass, W. W. Eggart of Lodge Grass, Virgil Eggart of Long Beach, Calif., Will Eggart of Houstonville, Ky., Berl Eggart of Denver, Colo., and Arch Eggart of Sheridan.

In his immediate family, surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Dan Eggart; one son, Francis Eggart of Wyola, Mont., and two grandchildren, Dan, Jr., and Eileen Eggart.

The body is at the Champion Funeral Home here pending completion of final arrangements.

Eggart funeral services set
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Ferries Funeral Home for Ethaulean M. Eggart, 206 S. Linden, who died Friday at Eventide. The Rev. Kenneth Rice Will officiate and interment will be in Sheridan Cemetery.

Mrs. Eggart was born March 20, 1891 in Dawson, Neb. At age nine she moved to Parkman area with her parents. She married Jashua E. Eggart Oct 16, 1907 in Sheridan. The couple ranched at Park,am form 1907 to 1922 and then moved to Lodge Grass where they ranched until 1946. Mr.. Eggart died in 1946. Upon the death of her husband Mrs.. Eggart returned to Parkman and later
moved to Sheridan. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs.. Gus (Zelma) Schaubel, Sheridan; one sister, Julia Barrett, Glendale, Calif.; one son, S. T. Eggart, Glendale; three grandchildren, five great-grand-children and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may benefit the charity of the donor's choice.

Eggart Services to Be Wednesday
Francis William Eggart, 46 Coffeen, who ranched between Wyola and Lodge Grass for 46 years until his retirement, died Saturday evening at the Sheridan hospital.

Mr. Eggart was born march 27, 1883 in Creston, Ia. and married Helen Stuby on June 15, 1919 in Sheridan.

Among his community activities were organizing the Lodge Grass Rural electrical association, a member of the Agricultural Social Conservation Committee, a crop reporter for the state agricultural department for 40 years, and a committeeman for the Triple A program for 30 years. Mr. Eggart taught the veterans class in the farm training program for 40 years and was president of the Feral Land bank association of Wyola for 35 years. He was a member of the Wyola Community Baptist church, for which he was a trustee and deacon for 16 years, and taught the men's Bible class.

He was a veteran of World War I, Air Force, a member of the Lodge Grass American legion Post, No. 116, White Man Runs Him.

Surviving Mr. Eggart are his wife, Helen; a son, Francis Daniel Eggart, Hysham, Mont.; and a daughter, Mrs. Adolph (Eileen) Fink, Roundup, Mont. He was preceded in death by his father, Dan Eggart, but is survived by his 91-year-old mother, Margaret Eggart of Sheridan.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Stevens memorial chapel, officiated by the Rev.. Howard Simpson, of the Wyola Community Baptist church. Burial will be in Custer battlefield.

Lodge Grass Youth Is Taken By Polio
Gilbert Eggart, 17, son of Mr.. and Mrs.. S. T. Eggart of Lodge Grass, Mont., died Tuesday afternoon in a Billings hospital from bulbar polio. He had been admitted to the hospital Aug. 17 and placed in an iron lung.

Survivors include his parents and grandparents of Sheridan, Mr.. and Mrs.. J. L. Henman, 354 West Alger street. Funeral services, Champion's in charge, are to held in Sheridan but arrangements have not yet been completed.

Parkman Rancher Dies Wednesday
J.E. Eggart, 72, Parkman rancher died at his home Wednesday night.
He was born in Jasper Count, Ia., on Feb. 11, 1878, the some of William & Rebecca Eggart. He move here from Iowa at the age of 14. Ranching at Parkman until 1922, he moved to Lodge Grass, Mont., and returned to Parkman in the spring of 1947.

He was married in Sheridan Oct. 16, 1907 to Ethaulean Brown. Survivors include the widow, Mrs.. Ethaulean Brown Eggart, of Parkman; two children, Mrs.. Zelma Schaubel of Parkman and Sanford T. Eggart of Lodge Grass; three brothers, Archie Eggart of Sheridan, Berl Eggart of Denver,
Colo., and Virgil Egart of Long Beach, Calif., and four grandchildren.

Eggart was a member of the Baptist church in Lodge Grass. He had been in ill health the past 10 years. Funeral Services, Champion's in charge of arrangements, are incomplete.

Lucile E. Eggart, 79, Sheridan, died Sunday at Sheridan County Memorial Hospital.

Born Sept 6, 1910, in Berlin, Mo., to Clyde and Carrie Carson, she grew up and graduated from high school in Berlin and earned a teaching degree from Maryville State Teachers College in Maryville, Mo.

She received a graduate degree from Eastern Montana College in Billings. She was know as one of the first true female athletes, playing basketball in college and professionally with the Women's Basketball Troupe.

She marred Von Warren Eggart on May 6, 1937, in Lodge Grass, Mont. They lived in Kansas City, where they owned a business. In 1947 the moved to Glasgow, Mont., where she taught school at the Air Force base.

The moved to Hardin, Mont., in 1962. She taught at Crow Agency, Mont., and later in Hardin schools for 13 years until retiring.

Mr. Eggart died in 1970 and she moved to Sheridan in 1980. Mrs. Eggart was past worth matron of Easter Star Jasmine Chapter and a member of Rebekahs, Odd Fellows, Business and Professional Women, American Association of Retired Persons, Montana Education Association, and First
Baptist Church. She cared about the environment and loved wildlife, horses, gardening, and her flowers.

Survivors include a son, Rocky Eggart, Lewiston, Mont.; a daughter, Elnor Eggart, Bradenton, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, the Rev. Charles Gifford officiating, with burial in Sheridan Elks Cemetery. Memorials may benefit Sheridan Count Memorial Hospital Foundation, PO Box 391, Sheridan. Arrangements are with Ferries Funeral Home.

Eggart Rites Are Wednesday
Margaret Elizabeth Eggart, 93, who lived at 52 Coffeen avenue, died Sunday at Sheridan County memorial hospital.

Mrs. Eggart was born March 5, 1873, in Adair County, Iowa, and was the widow of Dan Eggart. She came to this area about the time the railroad arrived. Other details of her life were not available at press time.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ferris Funeral home, and burial will be in Sheridan municipal cemetery.

Pioneer Woman Dies In Sheridan
A pioneer woman who came west by covered wagon, died Sunday at the Sheridan County Memorial hospital at age of 93.

Margaret E. Eggart was born march 5, 1873 in Adair county, Iowa to John and Hannah Cunningham. She was married in 1893 to Dan Eggart and they farmed for a time in Adair count. When the Indian territory in Oklahoma was opened for settlement, they went there by covered wagon, and alter to Missouri. The Eggarts came to Wyoming the year after the Sheridan area railroad was built, and homesteaded near Parkman. They later moved to Sheridan. They
were members of the Christian church.

Mrs. Eggart was preceded in death by her husband, an infant daughter, and a son, Francis Eggart, who died in 1964.

Survivors include a sister, Callie Eggart of Dayton: a brother, the Rev. John Cunningham of Winterset, Iowa, a daughter-in-law, Helen Eggart of Roundup, Mont.; two grandchildren, Mrs. Adolph Fink of Roundup and Dan Eggart of Musselshell, Mont.; Six great grandchildren and one
great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.,. at Ferries Funeral home, with the Rev. Kenneth Rice of the Methodist church officiating.

Eggert Services to be held here

Funeral services for Von Warren Eggert, 58, who died in Big Horn County Memorial hospital in Hardin, Mont., Feb. 19, will be held Monday at 10 a. m. at Bullis funeral chapel. The Rev. Ben Smith will officiated and there will be Masonic services. At 2 p. m. the same day at the First Baptist church in Sheridan, there will be a service with Dr. Woodrow Finger officiated and burial will be in the Elks plot of Sheridan municipal cemetery. There will be Elks lodge graveside services.

Eggart, who resided on Buffalo Star Route in Sheridan, was born March 28, 1911 in Sheridan. At the age of two he moved to Lodge grass, Mont., and attended school in Lodge Grass and worked as a cowboy on various ranches in the Lodge Grass area.

On May 17, 1937, he married Lucille E. Corson in Hardin and that same year moved to Kansas City, Mo., where he worked for the Butley Steel company. He returned to the Lodge Grass area in 1939 where he worked on the John Rice ranch, and in 1945 moved to Glasgow, Mont., where he worked for Ryan wholesale groceries. In 1961, he moved to Sheridan where he was warehouse
foreman for Panetas.

Eggert became ill in 1969 and moved to Hardin. His wife was a Hardin school teacher.

Survivors include his widow, of Hardin, a son, Rocky, Hobson, Mont.; a daughter, Elnor Davis, Sheridan, and a half sister, Mrs. Betty Farrant, Seattle, Wash. Two grandchildren also survive.

Former Resident Succumbs Monday
Walter Eggart, former Sheridan resident, died Monday evening in a Hardin, Mont. hospital. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:20 p. m. in Lodge Grass, Mont. Burial will be in the Sheridan Municipal cemetery.

Eggart is survived by one son, Don; one daughter, Betty; and five brothers, J. E. Eggart of Lodge Grass, Will Eggart of Kentucky, Virgil Eggart of Long Beach, Calif., Berl Eggart of Denver, Colo., and Archie Eggart of Sheridan.
