John Karp - Sunday, 14 June 1998 1:24 pm

I'm looking for information on my father's mom. My dad just died and I discovered the name of his mom and a brother I never knew about. My dad, then named Julian Karpowicz, was baptized at St.Patrick's Church in Kemmerer January 26, 1913. The certificate of baptism leaves the name of the mother blank. I now know her name was Mery or Mary. I have reason to believe she was an American Indian, maybe from Florida, Pennsylvania, or Wyoming. I'm thinking since my dad was born in Cumberland and baptized in Kemmerer, the marriage of his parents may well have occurred in Wyoming. If I can locate the marriage records I might find information on my grandma and the part of my ethnicity the family always hid.

Naomi Wolf Roodell - Wed. 24 February 1999 11:11 am

I am looking for any information on my Grandfather Nicholas WOLF and my Grandmother Julia KLOPSCIK, who were married in Jackson on November 24, 1923. Julia lived there with her parents Charles and Margaret Klopscik, but I'm not sure how long they lived there, or when Julia met Nicholas. Nicholas came to the US after serving in the Austrian Army in WWI, and Julia was born in Pennsylvania in 1905, but raised in Hungary, and at the age of 16, came back to the US. I'm wondering what would have been in Wyoming to move there, and where I would find the marriage certificate, Lincoln or Teton County.
