| The Hot Springs County Board of Commissioners met in special session Friday, July 23, 2010, at 1:08 p.m. in the Meeting Room at the Government Annex. Present were Commissioners John P. Lumley and Brad W. Basse. Commissioner Mike Baker was unable to attend. Also present was County Attorney Jerry Williams and Deputy County Clerk/Administrative Assistant to the Commissioners Penny Herdt. Chairman John P. Lumley led those present in the Pledge of Allegiance. Chairman Lumley suspended Roberts Rules of Order so that business might be conducted in the absence of Commissioner Baker. Approval of Agenda Brad Basse made a motion to approve the agenda. John Lumley seconded. Motion carried. Executive Session Brad Basse moved to enter Executive Session at 1:10 p.m. for to discuss litigation and personnel. John Lumley seconded the motion. Motion carried. Those present for the Executive Session included Commissioners Lumley and Basse, County Attorney Jerry Williams, Deputy Clerk/Admin Herdt and Sandy Baker. Brad Basse moved to leave Executive Session at 2:13 p.m. John Lumley seconded the motion. Motion carried. No action was taken during the Executive Session. Brad Basse moved to retain the services of an outside attorney to represent the county in the matter of former Deputy County Attorney Sandra Baker’s subpoena received on July 23, 2010. John Lumley seconded the motion. Motion carried. There being no further business before the Board at this time, Brad Basse moved to adjourn at 2:15 p.m. John Lumley seconded. Motion carried. | ||
