Schloss, Mrs E.E.,
Pioneer Dead, Thursday, 21 Sep 1922 - Douglas Budget:
Mrs. Margaret O'Brien Schloess, wife of E. E. Schloss, died Wednesday noon at
the Douglas hospital, following an operation. Mrs. Schloss had been in ill
health for the last six months, the malady taking a serious turn a couple
of weeks ago. An operation was imperative, but she failed to rally from it.
Mrs. Schloss lived all her life in Converse county, having been born at Old
Fort Fetterman October 8, 1867, the fifth child of the late John D. and Mrs.
O'Brien. She was married on May 6, 1891, to Emanuel Edward Schloss, who with
four daughters, Mrs. Sadie Anderson, Mary, Virginia and Margaret, and a son,
John D., survive. Surviving also are three brothers, William, James and Edward
O'Brien, and six sisters, Mrs. Annie Sherwin of Baker, Mont., Mrs. Nora Race
and Mrs. Mary E. Currie of Douglas; Mrs. Ada Rowley of Salt Creek; Mrs. Nellie
Arnold of VanNess, Calif.; Mrs. Lizzy Wiley of Bakersfield, Calif. Funeral
services will be held at St. James Catholic church next Saturday morning at
10 o'clock
